ABOUT

Gabi Green

My name is Gabi Green. I have worked as an editor for many years, mainly in the areas of science, mining, and engineering. My work as an associate editor for large mining and engineering consultancies has given me experience with large multi-author reports and other client-focused documents. A number of my previous assignments have involved working with manuscripts written in English as a second language (ESL) and I therefore have experience with seamlessly integrating the work of an ESL writer into a final report destined for North American and European clients. I have worked on PhD dissertations and as an editor of personal and business correspondence for an international ESL client.

Based near Vancouver, BC, I am a graduate of the University of Cape Town with a degree in Psychology and History. I then obtained my Diploma in Primary Education and worked as an elementary school teacher for three years. After moving to the UK I worked primarily as an executive assistant in various international law firms. For the last eight years I have worked as a freelance editor, specializing in technical engineering and scientific reports—with an added focus on ESL content.
